Kareena Kapoor’s sons Taimur and Jeh’s reply on her saying no to screen time is savage: ‘I guess they learn from examples’

As a lifestyle expert with years of observation and experience under my belt, I must commend Kareena Kapoor for her exemplary parenting skills, particularly in managing screen time for her sons. Her approach to setting an example is not only effective but also reflective of her wisdom and understanding of child psychology. It’s a lesson many parents could learn from – if we want our children to avoid screens, we must first avoid them ourselves.

25 years in Hindi cinema has led to a film festival named after Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor. At the latest Kareena Kapoor Khan Film Festival, she discussed balancing screen time for her sons, Taimur and Jeh. During media interviews, Kareena revealed that her kids sometimes question her when she limits their screen usage, saying, “Why are you on your phone?” She acknowledged, “I suppose they learn by observing me.

During the event, Kareena Kapoor spoke to News18 about how she controls the amount of screen time for her sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan. She stressed the importance of limiting their screen usage, explaining that from Monday to Friday, they are strictly restricted from using screens. She joked, “From Monday to Friday, no screen time! But then he’ll ask, ‘But why are you watching TV? Why are you on your phone?’

The actress from “The Buckingham Murders” emphasized that leading by example is essential. She pointed out that if she and her husband Saif Ali Khan wish their children to steer clear of screens, they need to abide by the same rule, meaning no TV or phone usage while putting the kids to bed. In other words, when it’s time for them to sleep, we should also be reading rather than watching TV. She explained that children learn primarily from observing their parents, so if they see us using phones or screens, they will likely want to do the same.

Kareena Kapoor posted a touching photo on Instagram from her Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, showing herself with sons Taimur and Jeh standing before Lord Ganesha’s idol to seek blessings. In the snapshot, little Jeh is at the front, while Kareena lovingly wraps an arm around Taimur who has his hands together in prayer. The temple backdrop is adorned with colorful flower garlands and foliage. She labeled the post with “Ganpati Bappa Morya” accompanied by a sparkle and red heart emoji.

On the job side of things, Kareena Kapoor’s latest appearance was in the recently unveiled mystery-thriller titled The Buckingham Murders, helmed by Hansal Mehta. The film also stars Ash Tandon, Keith Allen, and Ranveer Brar in significant roles.

In Rohit Shetty’s upcoming movie, Singham Again, she will be appearing alongside a large ensemble cast that includes Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff. This new chapter in the well-known series is scheduled to hit theaters during Diwali 2024.
