teamLab is preparing to debut a new permanent installation titled “teamLab: Hidden Traces of Rice Terraces” in the scenic Izura coastal area, situated within Japan’s Ibaraki prefecture. This interactive exhibition will transfigure the hidden rice terraces nestled deep within the forest into an enchanting display of light, colors, and vegetation, offering visitors an immersive experience.
Visitors are given the opportunity to venture into the forest region encircling the rice terrace, where they’ll also get a glimpse of another project by teamLab, titled “Digitized Nature.” This creative endeavor, as detailed on their website, delves into the idea that “immaterial digital technology can transform nature into art without causing it any harm.
In collaboration, TeamLab has joined forces with Izura Hot Springs to create a distinct and glamping experience that seamlessly combines wellness, art, and nature. This unique offering includes a cottage that can be reserved for an overnight stay, providing guests with breathtaking views of the forest during its most enchanting twilight hours.
The exhibition titled “teamLab: Hidden Traces of Rice Terraces” is scheduled to debut on September 30th. It will be accessible for viewing from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., starting October 2nd and ending October 25th.
