She dispenses wisdom about life and gives Phool a blunt reality check on how the world functions.

This selection comes among a pool of 29 other films, including Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar’s Kill, Kalki 2898 AD, Srikanth, Chandu Champion, Maidaan, Sam Bahadur, Article 370, and numerous others.
To date, just three Indian films have been nominated for the Best International Feature Film category: Mehboob Khan’s Mother India (1957), Mira Nair’s Salaam Bombay! (1988), and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan (2001).
