As a long-time follower and admirer of TELFAR, I must say that their latest venture into the realm of real leather products has me absolutely thrilled! After years of witnessing the brand’s innovative use of vegan materials, it’s refreshing to see them tackle traditional luxury with their distinct flair.
For the very first time, TELFAR has introduced a genuine leather handbag, marking a new chapter in their journey that started with their popular vegan leather totes. They’ve named this new piece “The Carry.
Crafted from supple, high-quality pebble leather, this bag shares a similar shape to its popular counterpart, the tote, but with a few modifications. We’ve made the tote more spacious, while concealing the snaps in fine leather. The hand straps have been elongated for easy shoulder carrying, making it conveniently known as “The Carry”.
As a gamer, I deliberately chose to keep the hardware at a bare minimum with this brand, ensuring a lightweight and streamlined gaming experience. Meanwhile, they intentionally left the inside of the bag uncoated, giving me ample space for my gear while keeping it organized and protected.
TELFAR characterized the bag as an alternative to conventional luxury, combining elements of both masculine and feminine aesthetics to resist labeling as strictly a men’s bag or handbag. Additionally, it is more expensive compared to its vegan equivalent.
Our prices, though significantly higher than our usual range, are actually a fraction of similar products – about ten times lower. For instance, our smallest bag costs $400 USD, the medium one is $600 USD, and the largest one retails for $960 USD. We’re confident that you’ll find no better deal when making comparisons.
TELFAR states that while the prices are over four times greater than our usual price range, they are just a tenth of comparable bags’ costs. We welcome any side-by-side comparisons.
Starting from September 30, “The Carry” can only be found at TELFAR’s innovative new space within The Corner Shop at Selfridges. Additionally, TELFAR is teaming up with Wilson’s to create a collaborative line of leather clothing.
