What are Echoes?

In the game, Zelda can produce copies or reflections of objects, known as Echoes. These Echoes serve multiple purposes, such as aiding in puzzle-solving, accessing remote locations, and vanquishing diverse foes. With her fairy friend Tri and the Tri Rod, Zelda can call upon these Echoes for assistance during her mission to rescue Link and protect the kingdom.

How to Use Echoes

In the start of Zelda’s adventure, Fairy Tri will accompany her and gift her with the Tri-Rod. The Tri-Rod is a tool that enables Zelda to perceive reflections (Echoes) of objects and creatures in Hyrule. When she approaches something that sparkles, an opportunity to capture it as an Echo will appear. By pressing ZR, Zelda can learn the Echo using the Tri-Rod. Later, she can summon these learned Echoes by pressing Y. If Zelda wants to delete her personal Echoes, she can do so by pressing ZR again when close to it. In case of multiple active Echoes, she can erase them all simultaneously by holding down the ZR button.

As you advance in the game, Zelda gains more Echoes she can summon, alongside Tri’s growing strength. Pressing and holding the right directional button will show all the Echoes Zelda has learned. You can then choose the Echo you require by moving the right thumbstick. Once you release the right directional button, the selected Echo replaces the currently active one.

Where to learn Echoes?

Incorporating Echoes into their strategies, Zelda and Tri must cleverly combine and select the optimal assortment of Echoes to unlock solutions for puzzles and gain access to previously unreachable regions in their quest to protect Hyrule.
