The Honda Dax 125 Makes Its Way to the U.S.

As a gamer with a heart for motorcycles and a deep appreciation for retro aesthetics, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming release of the Honda Dax 125! Growing up in the ’80s, I remember the iconic Trail 70 being a common sight at campgrounds and motorhome parks. The mere mention of its return brings a wave of nostalgia that’s hard to describe.

Starting in October, Honda will bring the much-anticipated Honda Dax 125 to U.S. customers, honoring the cherished 1969 Trail 70. The miniMOTO version, initially launched in Europe for the 2023 model year, is now ready for its American debut.

The Dax 125 is now part of Honda’s well-liked miniMOTO family, which encompasses vehicles such as the Grom, Monkey, Super Cub, Trail125, and Navi. Its nostalgic T-framed design, large tires, and compact structure evoke memories of the Trail 70’s popularity in the U.S., where it was frequently spotted at campsites and RV parks during its heyday.

Colin Miller, the Public Relations Manager at American Honda, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “The Dax 125 pays tribute to the original Trail 70 by incorporating contemporary technology, power, and dependability. We can’t wait to see how U.S. customers respond to it.

The Dax 125, coming in Pearl Glittering Blue and Pearl Gray, combines a retro appearance with contemporary functionality, making it an alluring choice for both experienced riders reminiscing about the past and newcomers. Anticipated pricing for the 2025 model starts at $4,199 USD.
