Sylvester Stallone Reveals That Tulsa King Will Continue With Season 3

As a movie enthusiast with a soft spot for gritty crime dramas and a deep affection for Sylvester Stallone, I am thrilled to hear about the renewal of Tulsa King for Season 3. The show’s blend of gripping storylines, stellar performances, and the chemistry between its characters has made it a standout in the genre.

Enthusiasts of Sylvester Stallone’s crime drama “Tulsa King” have had quite a bit to cheer about recently. Not only has Season 2 on Paramount+ been receiving high acclaim, but Stallone himself announced that the show will carry on into Season 3. Debuting in 2022 on both the streaming platform and the linear Paramount Network, this Taylor Sheridan-crafted production quickly became a smash hit, outperforming HBO’s “House of the Dragon” to secure the title of cable’s highest-rated series debut of the year. Additionally, it is said that it was responsible for the most new subscribers in a single day for Paramount+, which promptly led to the greenlighting of a second season.

Tulsa King Season 2 Up’s the Stakes for Stallone and Company

In its initial two episodes, Season 2 of Tulsa King has ignited with a bang, setting up an anticipated showdown between characters played by Sylvester Stallone (Dwight “The General” Manfredi) and Frank Grillo (Bill Bevilaqua). As Dwight and his crew aim to grow their marijuana business, they unwittingly tread on Bevilaqua’s turf, which the Kansas City crime family leader is not pleased with.

What form might the conflict between Manfredi and Bevilaqua take in Season 2 of Tulsa King? In an interview with MovieWeb last week, Grillo hinted that the second season ends dramatically, but suggested that things may not be as they appear. He further teased that Manfredi and Stallone’s characters might find themselves on the same side to combat a greater threat, which could potentially involve Neal McDonough’s Cal Thresher, a new character introduced this season.

The situation is reminiscent of a familiar scenario: a place that’s mine, and yet Sly’s character has intruded upon it without my consent. When I arrive to claim what’s rightfully mine, well, the events that follow are predictable… and then things take an unexpected turn, which is exactly why I appreciated it so much. Initially, our interactions were quite hostile, but they evolved into something else, and this project allowed me to collaborate with Sly in a remarkable way, strengthening our bond even further.

Apart from Stallone and Grillo, there are also side-stories unfolding involving Dwight’s daughter Tina (played by Tatiana Zappardino), Chickie Invernizzi (portrayed by Domenick Lombardozzi), and the rest of Manfredi’s crew. These subplots effortlessly mesh with the primary narrative, keeping viewers hooked episode after episode. We look forward to more updates as we approach Season 3, where these storylines will undoubtedly continue to unfold.
