As a seasoned gamer of vinyl records and a dedicated fan of Interpol, I must say that this 20th anniversary reissue of “Antics” has me absolutely thrilled! Having worn out my original copy of this masterpiece, I can’t wait to add this box set to my collection. The live recording from the Palacio de los Deportes concert in Mexico is an added bonus that will undoubtedly take me back to those memorable moments when Interpol ruled the indie rock scene.
Twenty years after its initial release, I’m thrilled to announce that Interpol’s second studio album, “Antics,” has been reissued! This special edition is courtesy of Matador Records and includes a live recording of our 2005 concert at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City as an added bonus. Let’s take a walk down memory lane and relive those classic tracks!
The music spans three vinyl records, all housed within a unique collector’s box. Additionally, you’ll find a 30-page photo album filled with images of the band throughout their career.
Back in 1997, I found myself part of a group that emerged in the heart of New York City – Interpol. We made a name for ourselves with our hauntingly captivating post-punk tunes. In 2002, we unveiled our first full-length album, “Turn On the Bright Lights,” which was met with widespread praise from critics. Fast forward to 2022, and we dropped our seventh studio album, “The Other Side of Make-Believe.” Now, we’re preparing for a North American tour, and I can hardly wait to share our music with fans across the continent!
The special 20th anniversary edition of “Antics” is available for pre-order at a price of $68 USD. This offer ends on November 14. The set is expected to be delivered in early 2025. In the meantime, you can relive Interpol’s “Antics”.
