‘Hysteria!’ Trailer Showcases a 1980s Satanic Panic

As a long-time gaming enthusiast and horror movie fanatic who has spent countless hours battling demons and solving satanic mysteries in virtual realms, I can’t help but feel a strange sense of anticipation for Peacock’s upcoming series “Hysteria!”. The trailer evokes memories of playing games like Silent Hill or Condemned, where the line between human fear and supernatural forces is blurred.

In the forthcoming series titled “Hysteria!“, we witness a small town consumed by a wave of Satanic Panic, with a strong focus on the “Satanic” element of the phenomenon.

As a gamer diving headfirst into the latest news, I’m excited to share that my favorite streamer has dropped a thrilling trailer for an upcoming show premiering on October 18. The story revolves around three high school friends – Emjay Anthony, Chiara Aurelia, and Kezii Curtis – whose heavy-metal band experiences a bizarre twist when the school’s quarterback vanishes and a pentagram mysteriously appears on one of their garages. In an attempt to embrace their new satanic image, they unwittingly awaken powers – both among their peers and potentially from some otherworldly source – that quickly spiral out of control. Can’t wait to see how this tale unfolds!

The trailer, offering more insight than the initial teaser, depicts a teenager named Nikki Hahn getting kidnapped by a mysterious masked figure, as well as a woman named Julie Bowen being pursued by something unseen. You can watch it here.

Additionally starring in the series are Anna Camp, renowned horror actor Bruce Campbell, Garret Dillahunt, Nolan North, Elijah Richardson, Milly Shapiro, Allison Scagliotti, and Jessica Treska.

Universal Studio Group’s UCP is responsible for the creation of a series by Matthew Scott Kane. Alongside him in executive production are David A. Goodman, John Francis Daley, and Jonathan Goldstein. Chris Bender and Jake Weiner from Good Fear Content, as well as Jordan Voght-Roberts who directed the first and final episodes of the season, are also involved in the production. Scott Stoops of Good Fear serves as the supervising producer.
