Jackson identified a particularly cool moment for Nick Fury in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which occurred in the film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” In this scene, while driving, Fury is pursued by police under instructions from S.H.I.E.L.D (actually Hydra). After firing his way through the chase, Fury encounters the Winter Soldier and takes drastic steps to escape. Jackson elaborated on this:

Although Nick Fury has featured in numerous compelling moments within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Samuel L. Jackson has long desired one specific action for his character – a visit to Wakanda. Jackson elaborated on this point.
Everyone involved was engaged in that activity. It was reminiscent of the situation where all black Marvel characters found themselves pondering, ‘Why aren’t we allowed to visit Wakanda?’ Only Don [Cheadle], Anthony Mackie managed to make it there for a battle; unfortunately, I didn’t get the opportunity.
What Next for Nick Fury in the MCU?
In his latest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) outing, Nick Fury was seen in the movie titled The Marvels. Post this film, Fury continues to be a part of the MCU, maintaining good health. Just like numerous other Marvel heroes who have graced our screens, it’s anticipated that Fury will feature in Avengers: Secret Wars. Given that no Avengers film is complete without Nick Fury in some form or another, it seems probable that he will also make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, which is slated for release a year earlier.
Regarding the upcoming lineup for the MCU, there are two significant films set for release next year. The first is “Captain America: Brave New World,” scheduled for February 14, 2025. In this movie, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) assumes the role of Captain America and battles against the Serpent Society. Later in May, Marvel Studios will unveil their new team of anti-heroes, dubbed “Thunderbolts.” This group resembles Marvel’s version of DC’s “Suicide Squad,” featuring characters from the MCU who aren’t traditionally heroes. As of now, Nick Fury hasn’t been confirmed to appear in either film, but both movies align with a tone that could accommodate Fury’s presence.
