At eleven years old, Osment was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2000 Oscars, but he ultimately lost to Sir Michael Caine, who received his knighthood in November of that year, for his performance in “The Cider House Rules.” In the same interview, Osment also praised Willis.
