Recently, Ananya Panday shared her thoughts on romance and partnerships during an interview with Humans Of Bombay, noting the prevalence of terms like ‘ghosting’ and ‘situationship’. The actress expressed that she leans towards traditional values when it comes to relationships, taking inspiration from her parents’ love as a model for her own.

She expressed her fondness for traditional, devoted relationships where she’s committed to one person. However, she maintains a non-judgmental perspective towards the ways people manage their relationships around her, admitting that some aspects are confusing and not fully understood. In essence, she identifies herself as an “old-school romantic” when it comes to love.

Beyond this topic, the CTRL actress additionally discussed her vision of an ‘ideal companion.’ She expressed that many of her expectations have evolved, expressing a preference for a “steadfast kind of love.” At 25 years old, she emphasized that she desires her partner to be more than just a romantic interest – she wants them to be a friend. This, she explained, is what she has observed in her own parents’ relationship as well.

Additionally, the actress noted that she had come across an idea which suggests that the true measure of love isn’t just how you express it, but rather how you behave when you have disagreements. At a younger stage, Ananya asserted that true love should be intense, overwhelming, and even borderline madness-inducing.
