CTRL: Ananya Panday calls herself ‘old-school lover' amid linkup rumors with Walker Blanco; ‘I love belonging to one person’

As an ardent follower of Bollywood and a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, I find myself utterly captivated by Ananya Panday’s old-school approach to love and relationships. Her unwavering commitment to maintaining the values of love instilled in her through her parents’ bond is truly commendable.

Actress Ananya Panday has garnered significant fame in Bollywood. Professionally, she’s experiencing a very happy time, but personally, there’s much curiosity about her love life. Lately, the actress who starred in “CTRL” revealed that she identifies as an ‘old-fashioned romantic’ amidst speculation about her relationship with Walker Blanco.

Recently, Ananya Panday shared her thoughts on romance and partnerships during an interview with Humans Of Bombay, noting the prevalence of terms like ‘ghosting’ and ‘situationship’. The actress expressed that she leans towards traditional values when it comes to relationships, taking inspiration from her parents’ love as a model for her own.

She expressed her fondness for traditional, devoted relationships where she’s committed to one person. However, she maintains a non-judgmental perspective towards the ways people manage their relationships around her, admitting that some aspects are confusing and not fully understood. In essence, she identifies herself as an “old-school romantic” when it comes to love.

Beyond this topic, the CTRL actress additionally discussed her vision of an ‘ideal companion.’ She expressed that many of her expectations have evolved, expressing a preference for a “steadfast kind of love.” At 25 years old, she emphasized that she desires her partner to be more than just a romantic interest – she wants them to be a friend. This, she explained, is what she has observed in her own parents’ relationship as well.

Additionally, the actress noted that she had come across an idea which suggests that the true measure of love isn’t just how you express it, but rather how you behave when you have disagreements. Specifically, in a dispute with your partner, one should not let emotions escalate to the point where everything seems hopeless or allow respect to diminish.

At a younger stage, Ananya asserted that true love should be intense, overwhelming, and even borderline madness-inducing. However, as she’s grown older, she champions a more tranquil and laidback type of relationship. She acknowledges that some might label it “dull,” but she prefers to avoid any “dramatic” situations. In her opinion, it’s about a steady form of love, one that can be found in the everyday routine, where love can truly exist consistently.

As a budding actress, the woman known for “Call Me Bae” emphasized that she’s self-reliant financially and thriving independently. What she’s looking for in a partner is someone who won’t feel threatened or make unnecessary comparisons. Instead, she seeks love, respect, friendship, and someone capable of making her smile – a sense of humor is key to her.

Beyond this point, the actress shared that her job provides a means of escape for her during times of heartbreak. She feels fortunate to have the ability to disconnect for 12 hours when she’s on set. She confided that there were instances where she would find herself weeping in her dressing room, but then be summoned for a scene, which momentarily alleviated her distress.

As a lifestyle expert speaking in the first person, I’m thrilled to share that I’m preparing for the big screen debut of “CTRL,” directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. This exciting project brings me together with Vihaan Samat once again, following our successful collaboration on “Call Me Bae.” Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya A Menon, this movie is a must-watch that will be available on Netflix starting October 4, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates!
