As an ardent fan, I can’t help but be captivated by Triptii Dimri’s journey in Bollywood. Her experiences working alongside giants like Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao are nothing short of inspiring. The way she candidly admits her initial nerves around these accomplished actors, especially with Vicky during the song sequence, makes me feel a tad less awkward when I stumble upon my idols at the local grocery store!
Actress Triptii Dimri openly discussed her apprehension when working alongside stars like Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao in projects such as Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She admitted to feeling quite nervous around her accomplished peers, going so far as to not engage with Vicky for three whole days and finding herself tongue-tied. Triptii further praised Rajkummar, remarking that he can flawlessly recite a two-page monologue in a single take.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Dimri shared her thoughts about collaborating with the actors from The URI film, noting that they seamlessly turned scripted words into remarkable performances.
She mentioned that certain films require actors to improvise on set, and emphasized that comedy, in particular, demands constant alertness, whereas drama allows more time to process emotions.
Initially, Triptii struggled with drama, finding it difficult, but now she’s grown accustomed to it and feels more at ease. Furthermore, Triptii confessed that she was quite anxious around Vicky during the early days of filming, particularly when they began working on a song sequence.
She shared, “I was incredibly anxious for three straight days, feeling as if I couldn’t move. The first song we recorded was when I felt this way. I barely spoke to Vicky properly due to my nervousness over watching him perform. It took me around 5-10 days to get comfortable with the crew, the size of the production, and the director.
In a somewhat comparable scenario, Dimri encountered a similar situation on the set of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video production. She characterized the movie as pure comedy and disclosed that working alongside skilled actors such as Rajkummar Rao and Archana Puran Singh left her pondering over their seamless performance methods. Occasionally, she reminisced about instances when the cast and extras would erupt in laughter during filming.
I’ve noticed that Rajkummar has an incredible talent for delivering a two-page monologue flawlessly, without a single slip-up. Every day, there’s something new to learn from his performances. Speaking of which, the much-anticipated film “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala” is set to hit theaters on October 11, 2024.
Originally recognized for her leading roles in films such as Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, and Qala, Triptii subsequently made her mark in mainstream cinema by taking on a supporting role in Ranbir Kapoor’s film, Animal. When asked if she felt swamped after signing commercial projects like Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video following Animal, Triptii explained that she had actually committed to these movies prior to the release of Animal.
She openly admitted that she experienced nervousness on set, revealing that her ambition is to keep relishing the experience of acting while preserving her love for it. Despite finding satisfaction in portraying dramatic characters, she acknowledged that diving into comedy left her feeling like a beginner once more, frequently having the sensation of starting all over again.
Actress Qala pondered over her career path as an actor and disclosed that acting wasn’t her first love, instead, she opted for it since she didn’t see herself living a typical, traditional lifestyle.
Regarding her upcoming endeavors, she’s set to work on Dharma Productions’ film Dhadak 2 alongside Sidhant Chaturvedi. Additionally, there are expectations that she will reprise her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s project, Animal Park, with Ranbir Kapoor.
