As a seasoned gamer with an affinity for both golf and James Bond, this collaboration between Golf Pride and the iconic franchise has me absolutely thrilled! I’ve always been captivated by the sophisticated charm of 007, and now I can bring that style to my golf game. The attention to detail in these grips is nothing short of impressive – from the embossed 007 logos to the textured lapels and gold accents, they truly capture the essence of Bond’s tuxedo.
60 years after the memorable golf match between James Bond and Auric Goldfinger in the 1964 film “Goldfinger,” Golf Pride is honoring this iconic moment by partnering with the James Bond franchise and EON Productions. To celebrate, they’ve introduced a special 13-piece grip set inspired by 007’s signature style, ensuring that it maintains the high-performance standards for which Golf Pride is known.
The design of the grips is inspired by the tuxedos Bond is famous for wearing at dinner parties and poker games, yet it incorporates diverse patterns and textures to achieve a unique end product. The lower section features recurring 007 logos, while the upper part resembles a white dress shirt with a grosgrain bowtie. Textured lapels, gold details, and the iconic gun barrel logo serve as the binding elements.
This set of 13 grips also includes a special grip as a memento, plus a gold bar display case; however, there’s another nod to 0 James Bond lore that ardent fans might admire. The collection was filmed at Stoke Park in England – the very club where Bond and Goldfinger had their showdown more than six decades back. It only seemed fitting to include the Aston Martin DB5 alongside this collection.
The kits are priced at $190 USD and can be pre-ordered now through the 007 Store.
