Renault Shares First Look at Its Upcoming 4 E-Tech Electric

As a seasoned auto enthusiast with a soft spot for classic French automobiles, I must say that Renault has hit the bullseye once again! The 4 E-Tech Electric is an exquisite blend of nostalgia and modernity, a testament to Renault’s knack for innovation while preserving its rich heritage.

On October 14, during the Paris Motor Show, Renault will officially reveal their brand-new electric vehicle, the 4 E-Tech Electric. This model is a fresh, updated interpretation of the classic Renault 4, blending modern aesthetics with subtle references to its historical counterpart.

The 4 E-Tech Electric model is both compact and functional, stretching to a length of 13 feet, which makes it slightly longer than its Renault 5 equivalent. Constructed on the AmpR Small platform, this vehicle offers superior interior room, agility, and comfort, while a retractable sunroof provides a hint of nostalgia with its fabric design.

Key design elements feature a lighted grille, showcasing round LED headlights surrounded by a backlit Renault logo, along with signature three-part tail lights and trapezoidal side windows at the quarter. The car’s profile is accentuated by sculpted door sills and an aerodynamic rear spoiler, drawing inspiration from the iconic 1961 Renault 4.

2025 marks the year for the launch of the Renault 4 E-Tech Electric, a model that will be manufactured in Maubeuge, France. Those eager to embrace this innovation in select countries can pre-order via the R4 R Pass program, which offers unique advantages such as early ordering access and priority delivery.
