As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team is generating a palpable sense of excitement within the gaming community. The title’s 50 GB download size on the PlayStation 5 is a mere speck compared to the anticipation we have for this masterpiece.
Story Highlights
- The Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team is one of the most well-anticipated games of 2024.
- The title’s download size on the PlayStation 5 has been revealed, ticking the 50 GB checkpoint.
- Bloober expects players to trust the studio with the final quality of Silent Hill 2.
Bloober Team has been tirelessly working on the eagerly awaited remake of Silent Hill 2, and it appears that the game is shaping up to be absolutely stunning. Thanks to PlayStation Game Size X, we now have a clearer idea of the file size for the upcoming title on the PlayStation 5. Approximately a 50 GB download will be required on launch day, and pre-loading for the Standard Edition begins on October 6.
As a thrilled fan who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game, I’m excited to share that I’ll get to dive into the game two full days earlier than everyone else! Starting October 6, I’ll have access to the game, along with exclusive in-game items like Silent Hill 2’s digital artbook and soundtrack, all before the title officially hits the shelves.
Just a tip: Make sure that you avoid searching terms related to Silent Hill 2 these days. Some stores apparently sold the game earlier than expected, allowing many to post spoilers online. Well, in hindsight, I’m not sure how much you can spoil yourself from a 20 years old+ game, but if you’re a franchise newcomer, the advice still stands.
Silent Hill 2 Changed User Sentiments Pretty Rapidly
Initially, the launch of Silent Hill 2 took an unfortunate turn when Bloober Team unveiled a “fight sequence trailer” for the game. Despite asserting that this video didn’t embody the genuine essence of the remake, they later revealed the environmental layouts of Silent Hill 2, instantly winning back fans with their impressive design.
