TikTok Comedy Producer Stapleview Launches Inaugural Slate of Shows

As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours scrolling through social media platforms, I can’t help but feel excited about the latest move by Stapleview, the producer of TikTok’s first longform sketch comedy show. Having grown up with the digital revolution, I’ve seen the power of these platforms in shaping and delivering content to a global audience.

Stapleview, known for creating TikTok’s initial long-format sketch comedy series, is venturing into broader territories now.

The business plans to reintroduce itself this autumn with a collection of half-hour programs designed for various social media outlets such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Leading this venture is Stapleview, under the direction of Sam Grey and Daniel Lantsman, who will debut five shows in the fall and are currently gearing up to produce an additional three.

In essence, we’re about nurturing genuine talent that appeals not just to digital natives, but to everyone who appreciates humor. This is the core of what we’re creating and sharing. The secret lies in finding fresh talent and knowing that digital platforms are the new broadcast networks for comedy lovers. As our alliance and business expand with insightful advisors and investors who support us and our vision, it’s thrilling to be at the forefront of this innovative link to comedy content.

In 2022, Grey established Stapleview (originally named after the company’s first sketch show) and this year, Lantsman came on board as a co-founder. The list of investors includes Kate Capshaw, Steven Spielberg, Joe Drake, Guggenheim Brothers Media, with Dillon Lawson-Johnston and Criswell Fiordalis taking the lead, along with Nick Meyer and Peter Schlessel. More recently, Oscar-nominated producer Kristie Macosko Krieger and business manager Matt Lichtenberg have joined Meyer and Schlessel on the company’s advisory board.

One of the regular performers from the “Sketchview” comedy series, Jane Wickline, has become a featured player on “Saturday Night Live” during this current season.

Here are the five fall premieres:

These productions will soon be released: “Ad World”, a comedy about an ad agency struggling to remain contemporary; “45 Years Left”, a drama centered around a 30-year-old individual grappling with the harsh realities of human mortality; and “Escape Room”, a film based on the experiences of employees at — you guessed it — an escape room, inspired by a former job held by creator Jared Goldstein.
