As a gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that this season of Big Brother has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. The twists and turns have kept me on the edge of my seat, and I can’t help but feel like I’m playing a game within a game.
heads up! The information below may reveal spoilers from the Big Brother live broadcasts as of October 3rd. You can watch these feeds with a subscription to Paramount+ or on Pluto TV, but proceed with caution as you might be inadvertently uncovering secrets!
Yesterday, it appeared that everything was finalized and we had a good idea of who would be evicted during Week 11. However, the Houseguests are now reconsidering their decisions. Following the pattern of Big Brother Season 26, unexpected discussions have arisen that could significantly alter the game’s course, provided the strategy doesn’t shift again.
A quick heads-up: Makensy “MJ” Manbeck, our current Head of Household and Week 11 Power of Veto winner, decided not to use her veto power. This means it’s now up to Cam Sullivan-Brown and Chelsie Baham to decide between Rubina Bernabe and Kimo Apaka who will be leaving the house this week. With that refresher out of the way, let’s delve into how the initial eviction plan for Kimo got altered.
Cam And Chelsie Seemingly Agreed To Keep Kimo Over Rubina
It’s worth mentioning that talks about evicting Kimo instead of Rubina had been ongoing throughout the day, but it didn’t feel like a genuine situation until just recently during a chat between Chelsie and Cam. Here’s the exchange below, where it appears Cam was successful in altering Chelsie’s decision:
Currently, the outcome will see Chelsie facing elimination. If Chelsie and Cam’s votes are evenly split, MJ will hold the power to determine who stays and who leaves, but if they agree on a decision, MJ will have no say. It’s a risky strategy for Chelsie to blindside MJ by evicting Rubina, as it might reveal that the idea of a female Final 3 was not sincere. However, if you aim to win Big Brother, you need to take risks.
Did Cam Just Improve His Chances Of Winning?
Critics claim that Cam hasn’t been fully participating in the game all season, but what we’re seeing now could be his most strategic move yet. At first glance, it seems illogical for him to keep Kimo instead of Rubina, given their achievements this season. However, I have a hunch that Cam is strategically trying to negotiate with Kimo, aiming for a Final Two agreement in the house, should they both make it to the end.
In simpler terms, it seems that Kimo can’t refuse that offer, and Cam is currently being promised a Final 2 deal with Chelsie. This unexpected move by someone who has been relatively passive in the game this season, taking such a significant step, surprises me.
Can Kimo Win Big Brother?
If Kimo manages to endure another week inside the Big Brother house, it becomes increasingly plausible that he might emerge victorious. While Chelsie and MJ have more impressive competitive histories, Kimo’s resilience this week will mean he has survived being nominated at least seven times if Rubina is evicted.
Kimo has a significant edge in Big Brother Season 26, as he has three supporters – Rubina, T’Kor Clottey, and Angela Murray – who seem determined to vote for him in the finale. If everyone remains faithful to their promises, this trio gives Kimo an impressive advantage, requiring only four votes to win the competition. Given MJ’s earlier response to Kimo’s plea for salvation, it’s plausible that she might cast that decisive final vote for him as well.
It’s surprising, considering what we thought only a week back, but now there’s a solid possibility that Kimo might emerge victorious in this game. Provided he manages to reach the end of this week and the entire game, mind you.
Tonight, we’ll find out how things unfold when “Big Brother” premieres on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 3rd. One of the many reasons I’m so fond of Season 26 is the suspense about what might happen tonight. I’m eagerly hoping that future contestants will be as captivating as this year’s cast.
