As a long-time admirer of Bollywood and its enchanting stars, I must say that moments like the one shared by Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha never cease to delight us fans. Watching Salman Khan transform into Shatrughan Sinha was a treat, and his imitation of the veteran actor’s distinctive style was nothing short of brilliant.
Salman Khan, who first appeared as a leading man in Maine Pyar Kiya back in the late ’80s, has consistently been a significant figure in the Hindi film industry. Known for his massive stardom, Bollywood takes great pride in Salman. Recently turning into Shatrughan Sinha caused quite a stir online, and even his Dabangg co-star Sonakshi Sinha got involved.
In 2015, Salman Khan posted a Dubsmash video with Sonakshi Sinha on Instagram, where he mimicked a line from a specific scene of the movie “Mere Apne,” originally spoken by Sonakshi’s father, Shatrughan Sinha.
In a skillful performance, Salman Khan masterfully recited Sinha’s dialogues from the 1971 movie while mimicking his mannerism of placing a hand on the neck, adding a touch of the veteran actor’s charm to his portrayal.
Sonakshi, the one who captured the video, beautifully portrayed Meena Kumari’s act from that particular scene. Her facial expressions were spot-on.
The clip shows Salman Khan mouthing Shatrughan Sinha’s lines as he asks, “Shyam kahan hai?” Sonakshi as Meena Kumari replies, “Woh toh Bittu ko lekar dawakhane gaya hai.” The superstar then says, “Aaye to kehna Chhenu aaya tha, bahot garmi hai khoon mein toh beshak aa jaaye maidaan mein.”

On May 22, 2015, I shared a tribute video of Salman Khan on my platform, and in the post, he used the hashtag #SaluteToShotgun.
Under the direction of Gulzar, the movie “Mere Apne” showcased Meena Kumari as Anandi Devi. Shatrughan Sinha took on the role of Chhenu, while Vinod Khanna portrayed Shyam. The cast also included Deven Verma, Asrani, Danny Denzongpa, and Paintal in various parts.
For the first time, Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha teamed up in the movie Dabangg (2010), which marked Sonakshi’s cinematic debut. They have since appeared together in both Dabangg 2 and Dabangg 3. In the Dabangg series, Salman portrays Chulbul Pandey, a character who is a police officer, while Sonakshi plays his on-screen spouse, Rajjo.
In the near future, creators will introduce Dabangg 4, as previously reported by TopMob in 2021 that Tigmanshu Dhulia had been developing the script for it.
In terms of his professional life, Salman Khan is getting ready for the directorial project of AR Murugadoss titled “Sikandar”. This production by Sajid Nadiadwala is set to hit theaters on Eid 2025. Additionally, Salman has another upcoming film with director Atlee in the works as well.
