He added that the film received more recognition when it was made available on streaming platforms, enabling audiences to acknowledge his commitment to the role.
Rao explained that any achievements he’s had during his career have grown naturally, not forced or contrived. He also mentioned that his career took a favorable shift after starring in Bareilly Ki Barfi, as this film gave him the chance to showcase a comical side, which was different from the more serious roles he was previously recognized for.
He emphasized that, for him, it’s always about portraying the character with the same sincerity, whether it’s a serious role like in Shahid or a lighthearted one in films like Bareilly Ki Barfi or Stree.
Rao mentioned one of his lesser-known roles that holds a deep affection in his heart. He clarified that even when a movie is good, it might not do well financially due to numerous factors. He used ‘Trapped’ as an illustration – a film he takes great pride in, despite its limited distribution and lack of broader recognition upon its initial release.
Actor Srikanth highlighted that he holds the movie “Trapped” in equal esteem to his financially successful films. This production continues to be an essential piece of his acting portfolio, not only due to its financial success but also because he feels deeply proud of being associated with it.
He added that there are films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Badhaai Do, Stree, Mr and Mrs Mahi, and Srikanth that have been equally cherished and appreciated by audiences.
