'I Don’t Know That I Could Keep Him Off The Stand.' P Diddy's Lawyer Says The Rapper Wants To Talk, And He'd 'Ban' Women From His Home If It Meant Getting Out Of Prison

As a gamer who’s grown up listening to P. Diddy’s iconic beats and witnessed his rise from humble beginnings to a music mogul, it’s disheartening to see him entangled in such serious allegations. However, like many, I’ve always admired his resilience and tenacity, so it comes as no surprise that he’d be eager to clear his name.

As a devoted fan, I’m closely following the news about Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, who’s currently in custody ahead of his trial on federal charges involving sex trafficking and racketeering, which took place after his September 16 arrest. Despite the gravity of these allegations, it seems that Diddy is keen to share his perspective, as his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, mentioned he’s uncertain if they could prevent him from taking the stand to speak on his behalf. Until then, it appears that Diddy is ready to go to great lengths in order to secure bail, even suggesting that women would be barred from his residence if it meant gaining freedom.

Following Diddy’s arrest, he made two court appearances while wearing the same outfit. He also tried to post a $50 million bond so he could await his trial at home. Unfortunately, this request was turned down because authorities considered him a potential flight risk, a threat to others, and there were concerns about witness tampering.

As reported by the New York Post, P. Diddy proposed that if granted bail, only his mother and the mothers of his children would be allowed in his home. Additionally, he agreed to regular drug testing, pledged not to meet with potential witnesses or co-conspirators, surrendered his passport, and would be under constant surveillance for 24 hours.

So far, his attempts to be released from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, have not been successful. His next court hearing is set for October 9th.

Initially, Diddy was under close observation for suicidal tendencies when he admitted himself into the facility. However, this situation has changed significantly, as attorney Marc Agnifilo stated in the Tubi documentary TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment. He expressed that his client, Sean Combs, is currently displaying a remarkable optimism before the trial. The lawyer added that he frequently spends several hours each day with Diddy and observed that his resolve is robust, and he remains actively involved in preparing his defense.

P. Diddy maintains his innocence and denies the charges against him; his lawyer, Agnifilo, stated that he’s ready and willing to take the stand when needed, as expressed in the documentary.

It seems doubtful that I can prevent him from testifying. He appears extremely keen to share his account, and I believe he’ll disclose all aspects of it, even what’s shown in the video.

The video the attorney is pointing out seems to be security footage from a hotel in 2016, which suggests an altercation between Diddy and his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. In November 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Sean Combs, accusing him of physical violence and abuse within their relationship. This case was swiftly resolved, but other lawsuits soon followed from additional alleged victims.

In March, federal agents carried out searches on P. Diddy’s residences in Miami and Los Angeles, seizing various items such as firearms, electronic devices, and over a thousand bottles of lubricants. The baby oil and other lubricants were believed to be destined for use at P. Diddy’s well-known “Freak Off” events, which allegedly involved massive parties filled with sexual activities, drugs, and alcohol that reportedly could extend for multiple days.

It seems that several friends of Diddy are currently avoiding association with the music producer. For instance, Kevin Hart avoided answering a question regarding what he witnessed at the Freak Offs, while Ashton Kutcher mentioned there are tales about Diddy that he is unable to disclose. With his upcoming court date approaching, we’ll have to wait and see if and when Diddy will be back home.
