Life Is Strange: Double Exposure - Reasons Why We're Excited

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the upcoming release of Life is Strange: Double Exposure has me more excited than a kid on Christmas morning. The mystery and intrigue surrounding this game is just too enticing to resist!

The upcoming installment in the Life is Strange franchise, titled “Life Is Strange: Double Exposure,” is rapidly approaching, with Deck Nine returning to guide the ship once more. This sequel continues the supernatural saga, and, as always, it’s shrouded in mystery. The intriguing mix of new and old characters has us buzzing with anticipation for this fresh tale.

Here are 5 reasons why we can’t wait for Life is Strange: Double Exposure:

Life Is Strange: Double Exposure – 5 Reasons Why We’re Excited

There’s still much intrigue swirling around this game entry, yet here are some tidbits that should pique the curiosity of both veterans and potential newbies alike for Double Exposure!

Max Caulfield Returns as Protagonist

In this new version, Max Caulfield reappears, the main protagonist from the initial Life is Strange game. As a time-traveling intellectual, she finds herself once more enveloped in a perplexing whodunit scenario.

Following the occurrences in the initial game, Max has chosen to leave behind her life in Arcadia Bay. Now, she’s immersed in academic pursuits and holds the position of resident photographer at Caledon University.

In Life is Strange games, there’s always a rich dose of the extraordinary. Previously, her power to manipulate time was limited, but now, she has the capacity to explore alternate realities. This fresh talent introduces a wave of new mysteries for Max to unravel.

This power will eventually result in more complex choices that will make the fandom happy.

It’s Another Murder Mystery

Life Is Strange wouldn’t feel like itself without the classic elements of a gripping murder mystery. The original game gave us the challenging task of deciding the outcome for Chloe Price and Arcadia Bay. In Double Exposure, a fresh danger surfaces as your friend Safi is discovered deceased.

After relocating to Vermont, Max has made Safi part of his new circle of companions. She’s an accomplished poet and quite sociable.

Sadly, her passing will initiate the sequence of events within the game. Max discovers her lying dead with a gunshot wound to the chest, seated on a park bench overlooking her residence. Without any apparent murderer or reason for the crime, this raises further mysteries regarding her sudden death.

Spellbinding Soundtrack

The show consistently stood out due to its enchanting assortment of independent soundtracks. Originally featuring tunes by Daughter and Syd Matters, while Life is Strange: True Colors boasted music created by Angus & Julia Stone for the game’s tracks.

As a gamer, I can’t wait to dive into Double Exposure and experience their impressive roster of global musical talent firsthand. I’m thrilled that they’ve curated an eclectic mix of tunes for the game, including tracks like NewDad’s ‘Under My Skin’ and Tessa Rose Jackson’s ‘Illusion.’ These songs are going to add a whole new layer of immersion to my gaming adventure!

We should be expecting more music from other artists once the game arrives.

We’re Back To Episodic Content

Deck Nine embraces the Episodic format of the previous titles.

In simple terms, the initial two Life is Strange games consist of 5 episodes each. The developers of the third game, Double Exposure, haven’t specified the number of episodes yet, but it’s likely that it will also be 5, similar to its predecessor, True Colors, which had 5 main episodes and an additional DLC story.

On the day of release, the initial two episodes will be accessible, fostering conversations and speculation within related online communities. Subsequent episodes are planned to adhere to the original’s structure, with intervals of a few weeks between each new release.

Where is Chloe?

In the gripping world of Double Exposure, I’m left scratching my head about the disappearing act of Chloe Price. Her absence sure does add a layer of intrigue that’s hard to ignore. As for the original’s finale, it seems there’s debate over what exactly is considered the ‘true ending’. It’s like playing detective in this game within a game!

In a confirmation by the developers at Deck Nine, it has been made clear that the game Double Exposure will acknowledge and accommodate both possible endings from Life is Strange. As a result, either Bay or Bae could become integral to Max’s transformed self.

In the newly released previews, Chloe’s appearance has been kept a secret from us. The developers alone possess this information, and fans eagerly anticipate the return of their beloved blue-haired character.
