Tom Brady Is Auctioning off $6 Million USD Worth of Watches

As a die-hard sports fan with a soft spot for luxury timepieces, I can hardly contain my excitement for Tom Brady‘s upcoming auction at Sotheby’s! The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady promises to be an unparalleled event for any collector or admirer of the legendary quarterback.

Tom Brady, often referred to as “The GOAT” (Greatest of All Time), plans to sell a collection of high-end watches valued at around $6 million through Sotheby’s in an upcoming auction. This special event, named “Tom Brady’s Collection: Watches & Treasures,” will take place live towards the end of this year and showcases several luxury timepieces from well-known brands.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over some unique timepieces that were tailor-made for the legendary Tom Brady. In an interview with GQ’s Cam Wolf back in 2020, the GOAT quarterback shared his fondness for these watches, stating, “I hope I don’t sell them, and I don’t think I ever will. I hope they stay in my collection for a long time.” Among the offerings at Sotheby’s upcoming auction, a total of 27 watches are scheduled to be part of the timepieces selection, but only five have been disclosed so far.

Up for auction are two luxury watches, one being an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak valued between $400,000 and $800,000, boasting a white gold bezel adorned with diamonds. The dial showcases the name ‘Brady’ along with the number of Super Bowl victories (VII) he has won, displayed in Roman numerals. The rotor bears his signature. Lately, Brady was spotted wearing this watch at his Netflix roast event. Another noteworthy piece is a Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5980/1R-001, estimated to sell between $180,000 and $240,000. Since 2017, it has been part of Brady’s collection, making it a rarity as Patek no longer produces this rose-gold version.

A unique Rolex Day-Date Reference 228396TBR is expected to be sold for a price ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 USD. This exclusive timepiece boasts a meteorite dial and diamonds adorning the bezel and hour markers. In another luxury offering, the Richard Mille 35-03 “Baby Nadal” is projected to fetch between $300,000 and $500,000 USD. This model was developed in collaboration with the brand’s longtime endorser, Rafael Nadal. Lastly, the IWC Pilot’s Watch TOP GUN Edition “SFTI” valued between $12,000 to $18,000 USD, which Tom Brady wore during his 2021 Super Bowl victory parade, will also be up for auction. The event will feature various sports memorabilia such as Tom Brady’s 2000 NFL Combine Worn shirt, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Game Worn Helmet, University of Michigan Final College Game Worn jersey and more, with prices starting from $100,000 USD.

The auction is slated for December 10 and for more information, check out the lots online.
