As a gamer with a keen eye for fashion and a deep appreciation for hip-hop culture, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming collaboration between Saucony and Westside Gunn. Having grown up listening to Griselda Records and admiring Gunn’s unique style, this partnership feels like a dream come true.
Saucony consistently releases one distinctive project following another, utilizing partnerships such as those with Jae Tips and Callen Schaub to design captivating color schemes for their lifestyle shoe models. Now, the brand is moving forward by collaborating with Griselda Records co-founder Westside Gunn on their next venture.
Westside Gunn, who’s accustomed to fashion circles and previously discussed his affection for the Nike Air Force 1 in our “Sole Mates” series, has now chosen Saucony as his brand of choice. He recently revealed on Instagram that he’s working on collaborative projects with Saucony. A sneak peek into his creative process unveiled that prototypes for the ProGrid Omni 9 and ProGrid Triumph 4 are being crafted, with Gunn giving these shoes vibrant color schemes of orange/red and blue/yellow respectively. On Instagram, he expressed his excitement by saying, “I’m proud to announce I’m OFFICIALLY dropping my first sneaker!! This is a dream come true and I just wanna thank y’all so much for believing in my ART.
Keep an eye out for further updates about the anticipated collaboration between these two, as it seems probable that you might find a Westside Gunn x Saucony sneaker available for purchase around the year 2025.
