With a five-year, all-inclusive deal with Warner Bros. TV, Lawrence is more occupied than ever, yet he’s tirelessly working to bring this reboot to life.
In a conversation with Deadline, the creator of the popular show “Scrubs” shared his ideas for resurrecting the series and the challenges he’s encountered during the process. Lawrence mentioned that many of the original cast members have expressed interest in returning, including Zach Braff who has previously collaborated with Lawrence on the Apple TV+ series “Bad Monkey.” The creator is currently brainstorming a way to blend a revival featuring familiar faces with a modern update by introducing new characters as well.
It appears we’re almost on the verge of solving this puzzle, and it seems promising. A significant portion of the creative team both behind and in front of the cameras are deeply engaged and enthusiastic, suggesting that we’re nearing completion.

Lawrence’s Schedule Is Packed For The Near Future
The television tycoon has seen his career pick up in recent years with the major success of Apple TV’s Ted Lasso in which Jason Sudeikis plays an optimistic soccer coach. With season 4 of Ted Lasso possibly on the horizon and Lawrence’s deal with Warner Bros. TV, his workload doesn’t seem to be getting any lighter.
The popular TV show, “Bad Monkey,” reportedly has a second season planned, according to its creator Lawrence. If there is indeed another season of this crime-comedy series, it will likely be adapted from Carl Hiaasen’s sequel novel to “Bad Monkey” titled “Razor Girl.” Intriguingly, Lawrence also disclosed an Easter egg hidden in the first season that suggests a second one might be on the horizon.
