As P. Diddy’s Famous Friends Remain Quiet About His Legal Situation, Nick Cannon Gets Honest About Partying With Him As A Teen: ‘I Live My Truth’

As a child of the ’90s who grew up idolizing the glitz and glamour of hip-hop culture, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when I reflect on my experiences attending P. Diddy’s legendary parties. The energy was electric, the music was unparalleled, and the vibe was undeniably cool. It was the epitome of what it meant to be a part of something special, something exclusive.

For several decades, P. Diddy has been well-known for hosting extravagant parties. This reputation has extended to music, with artists such as Kesha and Joe Jonas mentioning him in their songs, and talk show host Kelly Ripa expressing a desire to party with the rapper on her morning program. However, following his incarceration while awaiting trial for charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and more, many of Diddy’s celebrity acquaintances have remained relatively silent about their relationships with him. In contrast, Nick Cannon has openly shared his own experiences, which include attending the parties as a young teenager.

Nick Cannon was a guest on The Breakfast Club on October 11, and the subject of P. Diddy came up as they spoke about the latest developments in his legal case. After Charlamagne tha God denied ever attending a Diddy party or Bad Boy event, the Masked Singer host proceeded to admit that he had, and he’d “even been at one when I was a kid, like 16, 17.” Cannon continued:

I express my authenticity. I recall an instance when I was waiting to gain entry into a Puff party in New York City. It seemed like everyone was… what did the ‘One More Chance’ video portray? That was incredibly real, real-life scenes out here. People were gathered at the door, trying to figure out who could enter and such. Basically, Bad Boy parties were a big deal in New York during the late ’90s.

Recently, P. Diddy’s parties and events have faced significant scrutiny following Sean Combs’ arrest. It was later disclosed that during raids on his properties earlier this year, over a thousand bottles of lubricant were discovered. Reports suggest that individuals were pressured into sexual encounters, some of which were filmed, and were allegedly given drugs and alcohol for the “Freak Offs” – events said to sometimes last for days.

Nick Cannon didn’t elaborate on what exactly he witnessed at the parties he attended, but it was clear that Diddy’s parties were the hotspots of past decades, according to him. Additionally, he provided an explanation as to why he feels comfortable discussing this topic while others appear to be keeping quiet. In his words:

Everyone seems uneasy to speak as they might have something concealed, but I’ve got nothing hidden. I was dancing the Harlem Shake and doing other things, but it wasn’t a secret, so why make such assumptions? It’s similar to people saying ‘pause’ and all that, what are you hiding? Why are you always thinking like that?

The Drumline star went on to say that he was always sober at the parties and had never been drunk or done drugs in his life. He also pointed out that not every event Diddy hosted was one of his now-infamous sex parties. Cannon said:

I think it’s unfair that we are classifying a good party with a Freak Off.

In simpler terms, it seems that Nick Cannon isn’t shy about talking about P. Diddy, but many others in the entertainment world appear reluctant to address this topic. For instance, Kevin Hart seemed to avoid discussing Diddy when asked about the seized baby oil from his homes. Similarly, Ashton Kutcher’s past comments about “many things I can’t reveal” have once again become relevant.

Sean Combs’ trial is scheduled for 2025, but his legal team has repeatedly asked for his release prior to that date. So far, these requests have been turned down. We’ll just have to watch and see what unfolds, and if anyone else shares their related experiences in the interim.
