As a lifelong comic book enthusiast who has been following the evolution of Venom since his inception, I am genuinely thrilled by the positive response from Ryan Stegman, the co-creator of Knull, about “Venom: The Last Dance.” It’s heartening to see that even the creators behind these iconic characters are excited about the movie.
As we count down the days for the review restrictions on the hotly anticipated sequel of Sony Marvel’s Venom, Venom: The Last Dance, the creative mind behind the Venom villain Knull (who is poised to make his cinematic debut in the upcoming installment) has recently shared on Twitter that he has already watched the movie, and found it “wonderful.
Ryan Stegman, who’s penned stories for prominent Marvel characters such as She-Hulk, X-23, Spider-Man, Venom, and even co-created Knull, the deity of darkness and symbiote creator with writer Donny Cates in 2018, has expressed dissatisfaction over the upcoming “Venom 3.” It appears their disapproval may have reached Sony’s ears. Interestingly, Stegman has since watched the movie and voiced his opinion:
Just watched Venom: The Last Dance, it’s fantastic! I think you all will be absolutely blown away by it. KNULL, what a character!!
As a dedicated cinephile, let me assure you that if the hype surrounding Venom: The Last Dance hasn’t already won you over, allow me to share an intriguing tidbit. Director Andy Serkis recently responded to a fan, @Puto_Takagi, who had expressed disappointment with the first two installments, but found this one promising. His response? “I think you will enjoy it. The trailers that piqued your interest were true to the final product.” Simply put, if the trailers have caught your eye, rest assured that the film delivers on its promise.
Who Is Playing Knull in Venom: The Last Dance?
Currently, it hasn’t been publicly announced who will play Knull in “Venom: The Last Dance”. However, there are strong whispers that it could be Norman Reedus from “The Walking Dead”, or more probable, Andy Serkis from “Lord of the Rings” and director of “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”, who might sport a white wig for the role. This could potentially add another layer of complexity to Eddie Brock and Venom’s lives.
It’s been suggested that Knull might take on a more significant part in the Sony Spider-Man Universe and potentially even the Marvel Cinematic Universe, going beyond Venom 3. Speculation also hints at The Last Dance featuring two post-credits scenes. Although Knull will have a minor role in the Venom movie, the rumor points towards his return as a multiverse menace in Spider-Man 4.
In other news, Tom Hardy has verified that “Venom: The Last Dance” will mark his final appearance in the main series of Venom films.
“That wraps it up for me and our big partner; we aim to make this one spectacular. We’ve truly enjoyed creating these experiences, and we appreciate your participation and encouragement. Join us for the grand finale, the Last Dance! For those who love a good time, get ready to be entertained by our team!
In the movie directed by Kelly Marcel, I find myself part of an extraordinary cast including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham. This film follows the escapades of Eddie and Venom as they evade pursuers from both their worlds. As the noose tightens, we’re cornered into a heart-wrenching predicament that will mark the climactic end of Venom and my partnership with Eddie – our final dance together.
