Blue Bloods' Donnie Wahlberg Shows Off His Wrestling Skills In Fun Final Season Promo, And I Hope The WWE Is Watching

As a longtime fan of Blue Bloods who has witnessed its gripping storylines unfold over the past 14 seasons, I must say that the news of its impending final episodes is bittersweet. Donnie Wahlberg‘s recent Instagram post showcasing his wrestling skills ahead of Season 14’s premiere has only served to amplify my excitement for the show’s return, and I find myself hoping that the WWE will take notice!

Blue Bloods is set to air its last eight episodes in the 2024 TV lineup, making the impending conclusion seem all too real as CBS’ premier week arrives. Earlier, a sneak peek of the final episodes was given, including a scene from one of the Reagan family’s last dinners. Now, Donnie Wahlberg is joining in on the anticipation by showcasing his wrestling abilities before the start of Season 14. I can only hope that the WWE is keeping an eye on this!

In celebration of Friday’s premiere, Wahlberg took to Instagram to share a fun promo that will definitely help with the emotions everybody is probably feeling. He shared a behind-the-scenes video of him roughing someone up on set with a WWE broadcast sound in the background, and he wrote a caption that exclaimed that Danny Reagan is back this Friday. Despite Danny being a detective, his true calling might have been wrestling, and perhaps the same can be said for Wahlberg based on this A+ video:

To be fair, it seems quite unusual given that Wahlberg, who is an established actor, was engaging in what appeared to be a fight with his fellow performer Jerry Todisco, who is also a professional wrestler and actor. Nevertheless, there’s no doubt that the staged combat they were displaying was highly entertaining.

It’s truly amazing to observe his skill at portraying a professional wrestler. Frankly, I hope the WWE might consider him for a promotional gig someday. But let’s face it, that’s just wishful thinking. Nevertheless, this is a thrilling method to publicize Blue Bloods, as Danny will be apprehending more criminals in the last season.

As we’re about to wrap up this epic game series, I can feel the tension building like never before. The villains are going to pull out all the stops, making for one heck of a challenge. Fans might just catch me using some intense wrestling moves in the heat of battle!

Moving forward, despite the prowess displayed in wrestling, the upcoming final episodes of “Blue Bloods,” marking the end of its 14-season run, is bound to stir a range of feelings. Tom Selleck has openly expressed his reluctance towards the show’s termination. Moreover, there have been whispers that “Blue Bloods” might persist, as Donnie Wahlberg hinted at potential future projects by saying “perhaps there will be something else.” However, whether these rumors materialize is yet to be determined. Regardless, these final eight episodes are guaranteed to deliver intense action and heartfelt emotions.

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t help but feel like I’ve leveled up in real life as I gear up for the return of “Blue Bloods” this Friday, October 18, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. And if my wrestling skills from the virtual world prove useful here, so much the better!
