As a fashion enthusiast with a keen eye for unique and quirky footwear, I must say these Suicoke x Midorikawa Furry FiveFinger shoes have caught my attention! Growing up in the 90s, I can recall the craze of Vibram FiveFingers and their minimalist approach to footwear. This collaboration takes it to a whole new level with the addition of fur, making these not just functional outdoor shoes but also a bold fashion statement.
Update: It’s been a year since Suicoke and Midorikawa unveiled their most unique project to date — an array of faux fur-covered FiveFingers colorways. Now, the Suicoke team has announced that the hit designs are due to arrive on global shelves in new colorways starting on October 26. Suicoke web stores, Dover Street Market Ginza, Paris and Beijing are all listed as stockists as pairs start at a price of $310 USD for the low-tops, $330 USD for the high-tops and go up to $450 USD for the “super-hi” boots.
The Japanese brands Suicoke and Midorikawa have collaborated once more, introducing a new line of their “FiveFingers” shoe, this time featuring a faux fur material – reminiscent of Big Foot and perfect for the upcoming eerie season.
After unveiling several non-fur styles earlier this year, these latest additions take it up a level, introducing Green and Purple fur pairs with painted toe areas, while two other designs come in Ivory and Gray fur without the painted toes. Similar to previous releases, each shoe incorporates Vibram’s MEGAGRIP outsole technology for superior outdoor performance.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that the high-cut models of these coveted shoes will retail for approximately $250 USD each, while their low-cut counterparts are priced slightly lower at around $235 USD. Both versions are set to drop on October 18th, and you can grab them either from Dover Street Market Ginza, VELVET, or Suicke’s official site.
