In an interview with Famitsu, Capcom shared that they’ve made adjustments to the game specifically to alleviate excessive CPU usage issues. Simply put, they’ve optimized certain aspects of the game to ensure smoother performance.

In this video game, the computer’s processing power is used to determine the actions and reactions of each Non-Player Character (NPC), which in turn affects the character’s physics calculations. Consequently, when multiple NPCs appear simultaneously, such as in busy towns, the CPU strain becomes significant, causing a drop in the game’s frame rate. Since the CPU was under heavy load, making adjustments to reduce the GPU load, like lowering the screen resolution, had minimal impact on improving the frame rate.

Instead, the developers made subtle changes to the way NPC thoughts are processed, rearranging the sequence of operations to boost playability. The latest updates showcase these improvements, ensuring that the game runs smoothly at 60 frames per second on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
