As a fan who has grown up with the iconic world of The Matrix, I can confidently say that Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity is a character I have always admired. Her life journey from playing the tough-as-nails heroine to the real-world friendships she’s formed along the way has been inspiring.
Enthusiasts of “The Matrix” might find it hard to believe or even feel disheartened when they realize that it’s now 25 years since the initial blockbuster film hit the screens. Following this came some authentic sequels, video games, and other franchise content that have kept the captivating universe thriving in Hollywood for all these years. Yes, Keanu Reeves as Neo has been a significant figurehead – but let’s not forget those equally memorable supporting characters? Carrie-Anne Moss stands out as Trinity, the tough-as-nails gun-toting heroine who played a crucial role in guiding Thomas Anderson into the real world.
Recently, MovieWeb had a chat with actress Moss when her new movie, Die Alone, hit the screens, another film focusing on an apocalyptic scenario where she is armed with various weapons. Furthermore, we discussed the potential future of the Matrix series after the releases of The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions. It was exciting to work with Reeves again in Resurrections, a few years back. When asked about what might be next for Trinity and Neo, Moss shared her thoughts: “Going back was a delightful surprise, something I didn’t expect. So, honestly, who knows? I don’t,” she said casually, hinting at the uncertainty of the future for these iconic characters. “I just live my life as it happens and never know what might come next.
Moss also revealed that Reeves and she remain friends off-screen after many years have passed. “We’re pals for sure” she shared. “Many mothers at my child’s school are smitten by him. It’s quite amusing, quite endearing.
Carrie-Anne Moss on Joining Die Alone and FUBAR with Arnold
As we speculate about potential future installments of “The Matrix”, Rachel Moss captivates audiences in “Die Alone”, a chilling zombie narrative by writer-director Lowell Dean. In this tale, Moss plays a protective guardian to a young man suffering from amnesia (portrayed by Douglas Smith), as they journey through a society wrecked by an outbreak similar to that of “28 Days Later”. Although the plot may seem familiar, be prepared for a thrilling finale that delivers an unexpected twist. According to Moss, upon reading the script, she found it unsettling but was assured by Lowell that the ending would be worthwhile. Indeed, I must say, I truly appreciate the ending – in fact, I really admire the ending.
In the future, Moss can be expected to appear in the new season of Netflix’s FUBAR, alongside none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I finished that just a few weeks back,” Moss shared. “It was hands down the most enjoyable job I’ve ever had. I had an absolute blast!” Moss continued, expressing his admiration for Schwarzenegger, stating that he is a joy to collaborate with and incredibly talented. He also praised everyone on the show for being fantastic individuals, and said he savored every moment of it, finding himself in fits of laughter throughout.
You can now watch “Die Alone” from Quiver Distribution in movie theaters, on-demand services, or digital platforms such as Vudu.
