WWE's Bo Dallas Revealed How Much Influence Bray Wyatt Had On Their Current Wyatt Sicks Storyline, And I'm Legitimately Surprised

As a dedicated wrestling fan who has been following Bray Wyatt since his days as Sister Abigail, I was absolutely thrilled to learn about the extent of his involvement in crafting the Wyatt Sicks storyline. It’s truly fascinating to realize that the intricate details we see on our screens each week are a testament to Wyatt’s creative vision and dedication to his craft.

The comeback of Bray Wyatt in the WWE, after having been released a year earlier, was one of the most talked-about events in professional wrestling at that time. It appeared the company was prepared to welcome back one of its most captivating main eventers by crafting a storyline fitting for his engaging character. Regrettably, his sudden passing prevented him from being a significant attraction for upcoming WWE shows; however, as per Bray’s real-life brother, Uncle Howdy (also known as WWE’s Bo Dallas), Wyatt’s impact on the storylines remains palpable.

In an unexpectedly open conversation with USA Today, Dallas revealed intriguing insights about his brother during their discussion, unveiling some behind-the-scenes aspects of the Wyatt Sicks storyline. What particularly caught my attention was learning just how significantly Bray Wyatt contributed to the on-screen actions we witness every week.

Bray Wyatt Had Planned Much Of The Wyatt Sicks Storyline

It’s no secret to wrestling enthusiasts that we didn’t get to fully witness WWE’s post-return plans for Bray Wyatt. His one bout against L.A. Knight was followed by his sudden disappearance from the ring before his WrestleMania 39 faceoff with Bobby Lashley. Despite hints suggesting a comeback as The Fiend, directed at Bobby Lashley in promos, Bo Dallas disclosed that the formation of the Wyatt Family was actually part of his sibling’s and WWE’s creative team’s plans for the character. Moreover, a significant portion of what was to follow was also developed with Bray Wyatt’s active collaboration.

From now on, anything developed prior to this point or moving forward, which isn’t solely Windham’s concept, contains some element of Windham’s thinking.

It wasn’t fully developed, but the WWE didn’t fully explore Bray Wyatt’s storyline. Consequently, it’s not surprising that the ideas and concepts associated with him found their way into the creation of Uncle Howdy’s character instead.

As a devoted fan, it’s intriguing to see that the storylines unfolding in the WWE are still tied to the creative genius of the late Wyatt. Peeking into the story-making process of the WWE, I can’t help but admire the extensive work he put into crafting angles and concepts for his diverse characters. His efforts were indeed worthwhile, as The Wyatt Family continues to captivate us with its unique dynamics, remaining one of the most engaging factions in the WWE.

Bray Wyatt Even Selected The Wrestlers To Be A Part Of The Stable

In the Wyatt Family saga, Bo Dallas highlighted that Bray Wyatt handpicked the members of this group, which might seem remarkable given that Erick Rowan wasn’t part of WWE until after Wyatt’s demise. However, it’s plausible that discussions about his comeback were ongoing before the official announcement. As for why newcomers like Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, and Dexter Lumis joined, Dallas explained…

He selected them specifically to collaborate, as if there was an undisclosed appeal or potential that he recognized in them.

As someone who follows wrestling closely, I must say I’m excited to learn that the group members were personally chosen by Bray Wyatt. This discovery makes me believe even stronger that Alexa Bliss will eventually rejoin and become the sixth member of their faction. If she does, it would perfectly round off the Wyatt Family name once again.

Essentially, The Wyatt Sicks serves as a heartfelt tribute to Bray Wyatt’s impressive career, which has truly been well-deserved. For over a decade, Wyatt’s character was consistently among the most formidable villains in the main event scene, even if he didn’t always receive recognition within the WWE during that time. However, it’s clear now that his contributions are being acknowledged. I’m eager to see where this storyline progresses and who else in the WWE might become a focus in the future.

On Monday evenings at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, USA broadcasts Monday Night Raw, where the Wyatt Sicks make an appearance. It seems The Miz could be their target next, given his betrayal of R-Truth. Let’s see how this unfolds for him.
