Robert Pattinson to Produce ‘Primetime’ for A24, ‘Ren Faire’ Director Lance Oppenheim

As a seasoned gamer with a keen eye for cinematic trends and a knack for spotting rising stars, I find myself intrigued by the news of Lance Oppenheim’s first scripted feature film, “Primetime,” under the production house A24. With Robert Pattinson on board as producer, this project promises to be a thrilling ride.

Director Lance Oppenheim is preparing for his debut in scripted feature films, collaborating with producer Robert Pattinson and A24 on the project called “Primetime.

The Ajon Singh-penned project revolves around a groundbreaking journalist, who tackles the dark world of crime in an unconventional manner, potentially revolutionizing TV as we know it. Currently, Robert Pattinson is slated to contribute to its production but has not yet secured a role as an actor.

Reports indicate that the movie appears to have been influenced by “To Catch a Predator,” the well-known and culturally relevant reality TV series from the 2000s, where host Chris Hansen conducted undercover operations to trap adult males who believed they were meeting minors for sexual encounters. A24 has declined to comment on any ties to the show.

Oppenheim will direct and exec produce with screenwriter Singh.

Sources say A24 is moving swiftly and could be in production in the early part of next year.

Robert Pattinson, together with Brighton McCloskey, Brian Kavanaugh Jones of Range, Fred Berger, Lars Knudsen from Square Peg, Ari Aster, and Tyler Campellone will all produce under the Icki Eneo Arlo banner that they share.

The executive producers are William Iannaccone and A.J. Bourscheid, working on Range, while Emily Hildner is the executive producer for Square Peg.

Oppenheim is recognized for creating works that straddle the boundary between documentaries and narratives, with the HBO’s three-part series “Ren Faire” being a prime example. His notable documentary films include “Spermworld” and “Some Kind of Heaven.

Robert Pattinson is set to appear in movies next, featuring in “Mickey 17” directed by Bong Joon-ho, and he’s scheduled to film “The Batman Part Two” next year.
