Lawrence Bishnoi’s cousin says entire community stands with him; Claims Salman Khan came with a chequebook to them: 'If we were hungry for money...'

As a member of the Bishnoi community, steeped in the rich heritage of respecting and protecting wildlife, I find myself deeply moved by the ongoing saga surrounding Salman Khan and the black buck hunting case. My ancestors have sacrificed their lives to preserve our forests and fauna, so the actions of Mr. Khan are not only a violation of our sacred beliefs but also an affront to our community’s values.

Ramesh Bishnoi, cousin of Lawrence Bishnoi, has given detailed statements regarding the black-buck issue involving Salman Khan. He explained that the actor presented a checkbook in front of their group during this incident. Furthermore, he emphasized that the entire community supports the notorious gangster in this case.

In conversation with NDTV, Ramesh Bishnoi (brother of Lawrence Bishnoi) requested an apology from Salman Khan concerning the black buck hunting case. He asserted that Salman’s family has been disrespecting their religious sensitivities, and if the actor fails to apologize, the legal system will take its course.

Ramesh went on to explain that this community deeply values and cherishes wildlife and trees. He pointed out that no less than 363 of their ancestors gave up their lives in an effort to protect these trees. As Salman Khan’s actions against the black buck stirred emotions, he exclaimed, every Bishnoi felt a sense of anger, and they chose to let justice be served by leaving the matter in the hands of the court.

If the Bishnoi community is ridiculed, it’s understandable for society to feel upset. In fact, today, the entire Bishnoi community supports Lawrence in this issue. Earlier, it was alleged that the Lawrence gang may have been motivated by financial gain, an accusation leveled by Salman Khan’s father and renowned writer, Salim Khan.

He made the point clear by stating, “I’d like to bring to his attention that his son displayed a checkbook before the crowd, instructing them to fill in the amounts and take it. If we needed cash immediately, we would have grabbed it then and there.

As a follower who values truth, I’m sharing an update: The actor Sikandar, in the black buck case, was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison. However, regarding Lawrence, no proven crime has been brought against him yet. It’s essential to remember that one is considered guilty only when a court establishes evidence supporting their guilt.

Refuting any link between Lawrence and the Baba Siddique murder case or extortion allegations, Ramesh disclosed that the gangster actually owns approximately 110 acres of land and his brothers are landlords. In Ramesh’s opinion, it is others who are misusing Lawrence’s name in these matters.

In 1998, during the filming of Hum Sath Sath Hain in Jodhpur, Salman Khan faced allegations for hunting a black buck, which is revered by the Bishnoi community. In 2018, the Rajasthan High Court found him guilty and sentenced him to five years imprisonment. However, he contested this verdict at the Supreme Court and was eventually granted bail.
