Take a Closer Look at the Boston Celtics' NBA Championship Rings

As a gamer who has spent countless hours poring over sports statistics and virtual championship rings, I must admit that the 2024 Boston Celtics NBA Championship ring designed by Jason of Beverly Hills is nothing short of breathtaking. The attention to detail, the incorporation of key moments from the season, and the subtle nods to the team’s history make this more than just a piece of jewelry; it’s a testament to the Celtics’ legacy.

This week, the Boston Celtics unveiled their 2024 NBA Championship rings and hoisted their 18th team banner during their season debut at TD Garden. The ring was skillfully crafted by Jason of Beverly Hills and boasts more than 15 carats of sparkling diamonds.

Jason Arasheben, CEO of Beverly Hills, expressed after Tuesday’s ring ceremony, “This is not just a piece of jewelry, but a testament of history and the journey of our entire organization. From the city to the season, the playoffs – it embodies everything you could envision. This ring screams Boston.” The design of the ring revolves around the number “18,” symbolizing the Celtics’ 18th championship banner. Eighteen emerald cut diamonds adorn the outer rim, while 84 point diamonds are placed on the side rim, reflecting the Celtics’ playoff winning percentage and their remarkable 16-3 run in the postseason. On the inner rim, sixteen emerald cut diamonds are featured, mirroring the number of playoff wins Boston achieved in 2024. The results of the playoff series are intricately etched on the inside of the ring’s shank.

30 points of diamonds on the “World” on the face of the ring represent the total number of seasons the Celtics played at TD Garden and it complements the 80 white diamond used in the word “Champions” to honor the team’s combined 80 wins. The Garden’s famous parquet floor is etched on both sides of the rings and Boston’s 80-21 record is also on side of the ring. The player side of the ring sees the player’s name and number and includes two more diamonds that flank the name and represent the total championships under Boston’s current ownership. Last year’s Celtics’ mantra, “Whatever It Takes” is also included on the right side.

Every ring showcases two concealed details that become visible once you lift the top. Inside the lid, there’s a fragment of the actual floor from the team’s garden, inscribed with the date and score of their championship-winning game against the Mavs. The opposite side displays a championship banner and the jersey numbers of each player on the team. Additionally, the rings contain an NFC chip, enabling players to place their phone against the wooden parquet and watch a video detailing the creation process of the ring.
