As a connoisseur of fine champagnes with a taste for the luxurious and exclusive, this latest release from Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac has truly caught my eye. The Blanc de Noirs Vintage 2015, with its limited edition run of just 1,258 bottles, promises to be a rare treasure indeed. Got something special to celebrate this year? Jay-Z just might have you covered.

The billionaire’s champagne label, Armand de Brignac, has debuted its inaugural vintage, the Blanc de Noirs Vintage 2015. This luxurious magnum bottle retails for $3,400, but due to its limited production of only 1,258 bottles, it promises an exclusive acquisition. Each bottle is adorned with hand-applied French pewter labels and undergoes a meticulous final polishing by hand. The wine was aged in the cellars for over seven years before being disgorged on February 8th.

This brand’s pour is richly layered with a “harmony of tastes,” featuring the aroma of almond, plum, a touch of warming cinnamon, strawberries, and clementine, with a delicate undertone of violet flower. Each sip ends in a “graceful and satisfying finish,” leaving hints of gingerbread, orange, and licorice lingering. The flavors can be attributed to the weather conditions of 2015, where a wet spring was followed by a hot and dry summer, which influenced the fruits harvested during that period.

2015 Vintage Blanc de Noirs is the newest member joining the Armand de Brignac collection which already includes Gold Brut, Rosé, Demi-Sec, Blanc de Blancs, and Blanc de Noirs Assemblage No. 4. The 2015 Vintage Blanc de Noirs will start appearing in select global retailers from November onwards. In 2021, Jay-Z sold half of the brand, commonly known as Ace of Spades, to Moët Hennessy, a part of LVMH’s wine and spirits division.
