Rolls-Royce Reveals One-Off Phantom Goldfinger

As a lifelong gaming enthusiast with a penchant for both cars and James Bond, I can’t help but feel a sense of pure nostalgic delight upon laying my eyes on the Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger. My childhood memories are brimming with late-night sessions spent playing GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64, and now, I find myself longing to hop behind the wheel of this stunning tribute to one of the most iconic moments in the Bond franchise.

Rolls-Royce unveiled a unique, once-in-a-kind Phantom model called Goldfinger, honoring the 60th year since the release of the 1964 James Bond film “Goldfinger.

The redesigned Goldfinger ghost car, modeled for 2024, sports a color scheme reminiscent of the iconic movie vehicle – it’s painted in a mix of yellow and black. Just like the original, this tribute vehicle showcases large, wheel rims measuring 21 inches that mimic the smooth, disc-like appearance of the film version’s wheels. Furthermore, to pay homage to the legendary 007 car, it boasts 18-karat gold plating and silver detailing, reflecting the golden structure of the original vehicle.

In the luxurious interior of a Rolls-Royce, they crafted an 18-karat gold bar shaped like the Phantom model, which resides on the central console at the front. The front and center consoles are adorned with gold trimming, while the glovebox bears one of the famous lines from the film: “This is gold, Mr. Bond. All my life, I’ve been captivated by its color, its brilliance, its divine heavenliness.” Throughout the cabin, navy leather seats and walnut wood accents can be found.

Paying homage to the silver screen once more, the vehicle’s occupants can gaze upward at the roof and witness a dazzling array of 719 “stars” and 8 “shooting stars” illuminating the cabin during the nighttime hours. Each star has been meticulously positioned to replicate the stars overhead at the Furka Pass on July 11, 1964 – a day significant as the final day of filming Goldfinger on location.

This unique car model won’t be duplicated again, and it has already been handed over to one of the automaker’s prominent English clients. Check out its design in the gallery provided.
