Music sensation Rihanna and sportswear brand Puma have teamed up for a sneaker collaboration that introduces fresh color options. Working together, global icon Rihanna has added a new design to the Fenty x Puma sports apparel line, reigniting their partnership with a chic pair of shoes as Rihanna steps into her “Soccer Mom” phase.
Crafted from luxurious, aged leather, the Fenty x Puma Avanti L Sneakers have been introduced in two new colors: Club Red and Warm White. This unisex sneaker, inspired by soccer, features a fold-over tongue embellished with gold-foil Fenty and Puma logos, a gum-colored outsole, and a leather inner sole. Essentially, it blends the premium leather design of the Puma King football boot with the outsole from their Easy Rider running shoe.
Rihanna, a mother of two, expressed in a press statement that she aimed to introduce a timeless piece from the archives onto the streets. The legendary Pelé’s Avanti shoe holds such an iconic status,” says Rihanna.
In 2015, Rihanna took up the role as creative director for the women’s division of an athletic company, where she has collaborated extensively since then.
