As a die-hard Suits fan who’s been following the show since its debut, I can say that the recent resurgence of the series has been nothing short of thrilling! It’s like discovering an old friend who’s suddenly popular again, and you’re just so glad to see them shining in the limelight.
Following the surge in popularity of USA Network’s legal drama Suits on Netflix last year, the show saw a revival. This renewed interest was so significant that it may have even paved the way for a new spinoff at NBC to be approved. Simultaneously, the cast has been actively engaging with and promoting the show in various ways. The main actor of the series, Patrick J. Adams, has been keeping busy since the show wrapped up, but he’s been managing the excitement just as skillfully. Most recently, he discussed why the resurgence seemed “odd” to the cast amidst major Hollywood changes.
In the scorching summer of 2023, amidst the WGA writers’ strike, my favorite series, Suits, found its way onto Netflix. Just as we were binge-watching, SAG-AFTRA joined the fray, causing a stir in the industry. Despite the actors’ strike, the show continued to smash records. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing labor dispute, the cast couldn’t share much about it or fully appreciate the streaming revolution’s influence.
It’s strange since the Renaissance occurred during a strike, which meant we couldn’t gauge its impact on our contemporary professions as we weren’t auditioning for anything. However, I can only speculate that my skill and reputation have helped me, especially considering one of the largest streaming shows made a comeback, revitalizing the conversation around it.
Recently, Patrick J. Adams has been securing many acting roles, which may partly be attributed to the resurgence of “Suits” in popularity. Most recently, Adams appeared as a guest on Fox’s “Accused,” and he is set to star in the new spinoff of “Yellowstone,” titled “The Madison.” Moreover, Adams and his “Suits” co-star Sarah Rafferty have been hosting the rewatch podcast, “Sidebar.” Despite not being able to contribute to the show during the strikes, it appears that Adams is still enjoying the advantages that come with the revitalization of “Suits.

Following the conclusion of Suits, the show’s cast continued to stay active, each pursuing different paths post-series. For instance, Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Specter, shifted his focus towards his family. On the other hand, Patrick J. Adams, known for his role as Mike Ross, delved into various projects such as Disney+’s The Right Stuff, travel miniseries Plan B, Prime’s A League of Their Own reboot, and more.
The Aaron Korsh-created legal drama, which has gained popularity once more through streaming services, attracted both returning and new viewers. From his comments, it seems Adams is delighted about the show’s renewed success, and it’s heartening to see him prospering in Hollywood following the strikes.
