Our Legacy WORK SHOP Taps Main Nué For “COTTON CROCHET” Capsule

As a world traveler with a deep appreciation for the fusion of cultures and the artisanal craftsmanship that defines them, this latest collection from Our Legacy WORK SHOP leaves me absolutely spellbound! The “Cotton Crochet” series, in collaboration with Main Nué, is an exquisite tapestry of Swedish design and Japanese taxi driver chic.

At their WORK SHOP, Our Legacy has unveiled a new line, collaborating with Swedish design and mend studio Main Nué to showcase their abilities in reusing clothing. Dubbed the “COTTON CROCHET” series, this assortment blends both casual and formal wear, embellished with beige crochet accents and intricate details.

This design takes its main influence from the smart uniforms worn by Tokyo’s taxi drivers, yet it also showcases Main Nué’s unique craftsmanship. A long-sleeved black shirt with open shoulders is adorned with a circular crochet trim at the edges, and white thread highlights the upper part of the button placket as well as evenly placed eyelets in the middle. A matching blazer incorporates crocheted vents on its lower half and emphasizes the breast pocket with white stitching.

In other locations, you’ll find a pair of black jeans with an unbalanced design, displaying a crochet-edged opening on the left knee, while another pair sports coordinating slits revealing both outer knee sides. Close-ups suggest multiple blue denim washes, some adorned with pinstriped patches and splashes of indigo dye. Each item showcases distinct embellishments such as colorful beads, pieces of wood, and seashells suspended from thick, beige yarns for a unique flair.

The line is joined by various wooden furniture adorned with white lace, creating a similar contrast between hard and soft elements as seen in their clothing collection.

The limited-edition collection is available now exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza, Tokyo.
