First Look at the Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache

As a long-time streetwear enthusiast and collector, I can confidently say that 2023 has been the year of Corteiz. This London-based label has consistently released drops that sell out instantly, making it one of the most talked-about brands in the scene. Now, they’re taking their partnership with Nike to new heights with a rumored Air Trainer Huarache collaboration set for summer 2024.

New Development: Finally, we get a sneak peek at the eagerly anticipated collaboration between Corteiz and Nike Air Trainer Huarache. The partnership was rumored last year, and now Clint419 has shared a sample on his “Close Friends” Story on Instagram. This limited look offers a glimpse of several significant features. The color scheme primarily consists of gray, which is accentuated by a green, brown, and black camouflage pattern at the neoprene layer surrounding the collar, acting as both the tongue and collar. The design has been modified in various ways; for instance, the midfoot strap now bears Corteiz’s Alcatraz logo, and the brand’s “C” is visible at the lateral toe. Additionally, a tonal Swoosh is stitched into the toe box. The black tongue tag carries the usual “BY NIKE” text replaced with “BY CRTZ,” while the heel’s Nike Air branding is substituted with “Nike RTW.” Keep an eye out for a comprehensive look at their collection, expected to release later this year.

Based in London, the streetwear label Corteiz stands out from the crowd and is gaining attention for its creative marketing strategies that deliver a powerful message. In 2023, this brand has dominated the scene by continuously launching drops that quickly sell out.

In 2024, it’s reported that Corteiz is deepening its partnership with Nike, potentially launching various Air Trainer Huarache color schemes throughout the summer season. According to insiders connected to designer Clint419 speaking with Brendan Dunne of Complex, this collaboration is set to premiere in Nike’s Fall 2024 collection, along with several timeless designs coming back to life.

Although no photos showing the pairs have been shared yet, Clint419 was recently seen sporting a very scarce 2003 Nike Air Trainer Huarache “Dominican Republic” on Instagram. This unique all-white design is highly sought after and often sells for more than double its original price on secondary markets.

In January of 2023, Courtez and Nike launched their collaboration, introducing three different color schemes for the Air Max 95 shoes, along with a limited selection of clothing and other items. The “Pink Beam,” “Aegean Storm,” and “Gutta Green” colorways have gained significant interest and are predicted to surge in popularity, potentially alongside the Air Trainer Huarache in the following year.
