According to a statement by Universal Pictures, the upcoming Christopher Nolan movie is slated for release on July 17, 2026. For now, we don’t have the title yet, but we do have the date marked in our calendars (assuming there are no delays).

It’s quite unexpected that the movie won’t be on the 2024 or even the 2025 film schedule, making us wait another two years for its release. Yet, this delay might not be so bad considering July 2025 is jam-packed with films like the new Jurassic World, the upcoming Superman installment, and others.

It’s better to give Nolan his chance to shine amongst everything else.

This might be another instance similar to Oppenheimer, boasting stunning cinematography, yet potentially lighter on special effects – a choice I’m comfortable with. Alternatively, it seems they may be planning to ramp up the special effects for this film, as was common in some of their previous projects. At this stage, it’s hard to tell for certain.
