A Quiet Place Creators Say the Franchise Should Try TV & Go International

As a cinephile with an extensive background in cinema history and a soft spot for suspenseful films, I must say that the “A Quiet Place” franchise has truly captured my heart (and ears). The tension-filled atmosphere, coupled with the intrigue of the apocalyptic universe, makes it impossible to not be hooked.

The hit movie franchise known as “A Quiet Place” has left audiences spellbound, eagerly anticipating more tales from its eerie universe. Unlike the characters who must remain silent to escape the monsters’ fury, fans can’t help but discuss what lies ahead for this thrilling saga. MovieWeb recently interviewed the franchise creators, filmmakers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, at a press event in Los Angeles, gaining insight into the future of “A Quiet Place” and the latest release in the series.

Michael Sarnoski’s film, “A Quiet Place: Day One“, left us utterly captivated. Michael is an exceptional director,” Beck shared with us. “We are avid admirers of “Pig” and were thrilled when he chose to revisit the initial concept of our creation. It was exhilarating for us as it allowed him to transform something deeply intimate into a grand, cinematic interpretation, merging the essence of both versions.” Beck further commented:

As a movie enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement as the franchise carries on. Yet, there are countless tales left untold. What intrigues me the most is exploring the global perspective of these events – a fresh angle that hasn’t been fully explored yet. It would be thrilling to witness this narrative unfold, whether on the big screen or perhaps through a captivating TV series.

No, Beck & Woods Didn’t Rewrite Sam Raimi’s New Movie

As a fan, I felt compelled to clarify a misconception that has been circulating. Contrary to some rumors, neither Beck nor I had any involvement in the making of Sam Raimi’s upcoming horror film, “Send Help“. However, I can assure you it’s going to be fantastic! It’s under the direction of the legendary Sam Raimi and boasts an impressive script from its talented writers.

We’ve been familiar with this film since we collaborated with Sam on its creation, as he was the producer, and we’ve long admired it. However, recently a news event occurred, and we received a text from Sam’s co-producer who cautioned us, saying something like, ‘Be careful! I’m not sure how this turned out!’

For now, you can check out the latest Hugh Grant movie by A24, titled “Heretic“, penned and directed by Beck and Woods. This film combines elements of suspense and genuine scares, but it also delves into a range of topics including some light-hearted humor. For instance, the religious characters in the movie compare spirituality to fast food. In another interesting tidbit, Beck and Woods shared their favorite eateries, particularly praising “Culver’s“, a Wisconsin gem they hold dear. As a Midwest native hailing from Iowa, close to Wisconsin, Beck expressed his fondness for this restaurant.

As a huge fan, I can’t help but rave about my fondness for what I call Checkers back home, but here on the West Coast, it’s known as Rally’s. Their seasoned fries are simply unbeatable, served in an oversized bucket!
