Endeavor plans to transfer ownership of its two sports data companies to OB Global Holdings LLC for a total of $450 million. The transaction will be funded through a mix of cash and borrowed money. Endeavor plans to carry on promoting IMG Arena for sale, both before and following the completion of the deal. The divestment of ancillary businesses such as IMG Arena and OpenBet is an essential step prior to Silver Lake’s agreement to make Endeavor a privately-held company.
Last month, Endeavor reached an agreement in the broader transaction to transfer its On Location, IMG, and Professional Bull Riders businesses to its affiliate TKO Group Holdings for a $3.25 billion stock exchange.
