Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D: How to Teleport

As an old-school gamer who’s seen his fair share of pixelated adventures, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia when it comes to the Dragon Quest 3 Remake. The teleport spell is a game changer, my friend!

In the Dragon Quest 3 Remake, the teleportation spell offers a convenient means for players to quickly move between previously visited towns without taking a lengthy journey.

This magical feature eliminates excessive retracing steps, thereby expediting and simplifying the exploration process. To make your journey smoother and avoid backtracking, here’s a guide on utilizing Teleportation to move swiftly.

How to Teleport

Roaming the expansive world in Dragon Quest 3 Remake is a core element of the adventure.

As you continue, walking everywhere can become tedious and time-consuming.

You can teleport in the game using the Chimera Wing (a consumable) and the Zoom spell.

Teleportation spells might not be available early on, but the Chimera Wing is a great backup.

You can buy Chimera Wings from merchants easily spotted in various towns and cities, as they are the ones who run shops bearing a symbol of wings enclosed within laurels.

Each Chimera Wing costs 25 gold, which can feel expensive early on when resources are limited.

You might occasionally stumble upon Chimera Wings hidden inside containers like pots, barrels, or chests scattered throughout the countryside, but keep in mind that they are not common finds.

To use a Chimera Wing, select it from your items. Even though Chimera Wings may not be essential as you advance, they still serve as a useful standby choice in case of unexpected situations.

As you advance in the game, you unlock Zoom, a spell that transforms how you move around.

Unlike Chimera Wings, Zoom is free to use and doesn’t require any consumable items.

At level 7, the Hero gains automatic access to Zoom, while both Mage and Sage characters can utilize it from level 12 onwards.

You can access Zoom through the Spell Menu or the Map Menu.

Many folks appreciate utilizing the Map Menu as it enables them to choose a location from a list of past destinations they’ve visited.

It’s worth noting, however, that Zoom can only be used outdoors.

If you are inside a building or dungeon, you’ll need to step outside to activate the spell.

In Zoom, not just transportation is provided, but it also adjusts the game’s clock to daytime. This handy function is particularly beneficial for missions or activities that take place during particular hours.
