Marcello Hernández’s ‘SNL’ Character Domingo Arrested at Sabrina Carpenter Concert

As a dedicated follower of Saturday Night Live and a fan of Sabrina Carpenter, I must say that this recent turn of events has left me utterly thrilled! Marcello Hernández’s Domingo character has always been a delightful addition to the SNL family, and seeing him interact with the talented Ms. Carpenter in such a playful manner was a treat for us fans.

This past weekend, Marcello Hernández’s popular and widely shared “Saturday Night Live” character, Domingo, was taken into custody by Sabrina Carpenter. The reason? He’s allegedly overly attractive.

At every stop on her Short n’ Sweet tour, the carpenter has been detaining fans who become overly enthusiastic, right before she takes the stage for “Juno”. This little routine happened just recently when she apprehended Millie Bobby Brown at a concert in Atlanta last month.

In the October 12th episode of Saturday Night Live, Ariana Grande’s character introduced Hernández’s Domingo. This occurred when Grande joined the show’s cast as a group of bridesmaids, who were singing a spoofed version of Carpenter’s “Espresso.” In this performance, it was inadvertently revealed that the bride had been untrue to her fiancé during their bachelorette trip, and she developed an affinity for a man named Domingo.

At the Inglewood concert on Sunday, Hernandez could be heard exclaiming, “I’m here, Sabrina!” Further in the footage, he identifies himself as Domingo, hailing from Miami.

On stage, Carpenter remarked playfully: “If only Miami were in my bedroom instead, what plans do you have for tonight?

Afterward, Hernández mentioned the Carpenter’s song “Bed Chem”. He said, “I am the charming lad in the blue coat and the strong accent.

The vocalist expressed that she felt “extremely agitated and swamped,” and posed the question, “Is there anything you’d like to share before I take you into custody, Domingo?

On Sunday, Domingo sang back: “I traveled so far / Needed to clarify / Straight from Domingo / Sabrina’s an acquaintance / She feels like family / Yet, I could develop more than that.

“Like, now?” Carpenter responded, and then handed him a pair of fuzzy pink handcuffs.

Over the weekend, I wasn’t making my debut. Instead, I found myself stepping back into a familiar role on Saturday night during SNL, hosted by Charli XCX. A delightful group of ladies gathered for a baby shower, and we serenaded once more about Domingo’s allure, this time setting our tunes to Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!”.

The original “Bridesmaind Speech” sketch has garnered more than 11 million views on YouTube. The “Babymoon” follow-up has nearly 2 million.
