As a movie enthusiast who has been eagerly waiting for these two intriguing films, I must admit that the recent shift in their release dates has left me slightly perplexed, yet optimistic. The prospect of watching “September 5” and “Better Man” during the awards season feels like being handed a front-row ticket to an unparalleled cinematic experience.
Paramount is shifting upcoming titles September 5 and Better Man.
The movie starring Peter Sarsgaard, centered around the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics and ABC Sports’ coverage team who were thrust into live reporting of Israeli athletes being held hostage, will now premiere in theaters on December 13, with a wider release scheduled for January 17. (Originally, it was planned to start screenings on November 29, followed by a broader release on December 13.)
Previously scheduled for release on January 17, the movie “Better Man” focusing on British pop icon Robbie Williams, has been moved up a week to hit theaters nationwide on January 10. However, it will still have its original limited release on Christmas Day, December 25.
Both films moved slightly to better fit into awards season.
Over the upcoming Thanksgiving break, the studio plans to unveil “Gladiator 2.” Remarkably, it has raked in more than $80 million during its international debut weekend.
