As a longtime fan of social media sensations who have made their mark on digital platforms, I am thrilled to see Boman Martinez-Reid stepping into the limelight with his new series, “Made for TV With Boman Martinez-Reid.” His “The Bodashians” sketches have brought laughter and entertainment to millions, and it’s fantastic to see him expanding his reach.
Beginning in December, Roku will broadcast “Made for TV With Boman Martinez-Reid.” This Crave Original Series showcases the well-known social media personality, recognized for his parodies of the Kardashians through “The Bodashians” sketch series.
In each episode, Boman explores a different type of TV genre by combining aspects of sitcoms, mockumentaries, and reality shows. He gets assistance from famous consultants and real-life individuals to achieve this,” the press release states.
This past summer, the six-part series initially broadcasted on Crave in Canada showcased Martinez-Reid venturing into reality dating, culinary competitions, journalism, sports, and a high-stakes drag event.
The program additionally includes reality dating personality Francesca Farago, along with Priyanka (the winner of Canada’s Drag Race), and Ashley Darby, a cast member from Real Housewives of Potomac, among other notable figures.
Martin Reid-Martinez has approximately three million fans on TikTok, and “Made for TV” represents his initial venture onto the larger movie screen. His comedic sketches called “The Bodashians,” where he mimics the behaviors of a well-known Los Angeles family as they deal with everyday trivialities, have earned over 150 million views. He also recently unveiled his debut single and music video titled “I Have a Thing.” He is managed by CAA, Range Media Partners, and R&CPMK.
The TV series “Made for TV with Boman Martinez-Reid” was jointly produced by Alibi Entertainment, with James Hyslop and Jo Virgo acting as the executive producers. Meanwhile, Boman Martinez-Reid, Marushka Almeida, and Kyah Green all served as story editors on this production.
All six episodes of Made for TV with Boman Martinez-Reid will be available on Ruku on Dec. 1.
