As a seasoned sneakerhead with over two decades of collecting under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming fragment design x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon collaboration is a much-anticipated release for many of us in the community. The rumors have been swirling for quite some time now, and it’s finally looking like we might get our hands on these beauties before 2024 comes to an end.

It’s looking like the rumored collaboration between Fragment Design and Nike on Air Zoom Spiridon releases could hit stores before the end of 2024. Both sneaker insiders and Fragment Design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara have been hinting at this project for over a year, but no specific release date has been announced yet. Interestingly, these potential shoes have recently appeared on the drop dates page of Naked, a popular sneaker boutique, suggesting that two colorways might become available as early as December 5th.

One pair, earlier seen with a leak, showcases a white mesh foundation accompanied by a deep navy blue side Swoosh and a black suede ankle guard. The other style, yet unrevealed, presents an all-black version boasting a monotone side Swoosh. Both designs incorporate white Swooshes on their inner sides, boast unique branding marks beneath a see-through portion of the outsole, and notably display tooling code-inspired details on both their outer halves as well as their heel tabs – a signature detail from fragment design x Nike that has graced previous designs such as the fragment design x Nike Dunk High and the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Low.

This partnership signifies that the Air Zoom Spiridon is making its comeback to the market after a spell in the latter part of the 2010s. During this time, it was launched in various color schemes and collaborated with brands such as Stash and Parra. It’s expected that this revival will trigger a lengthy retro phase, given the hint of an upcoming UNDEFEATED collaboration.

It appears that Naked might have released the shoes a bit prematurely on their product page, but they’re expected to arrive by December 5 (subject to Nike’s official confirmation), priced at approximately $170 USD.
