Kathy Griffin Jokes She Wants to Be the Next Golden Bachelorette: “The First Episode … I F*** Each One”

As a longtime fan of Kathy Griffin’s wit and humor, it’s always a treat to see her in action. Her latest antics, aiming for the coveted role of The Golden Bachelorette, have me both laughing hysterically and rooting for her all at once.

Kathy Griffin is ready for love.

The humorist and performer dropped by on “Chatting Politics with Gavin Newsom, Marshawn Lynch, and Doug Hendrickson” to chat about her ongoing comedy tour. During their conversation, one of the hosts inquired about Griffin’s current romantic situation, and she shared an intriguing perspective on it.

Hey there! I’ve got a suggestion for you – I believe it’s my turn to be crowned the next Golden Bachelorette. Now, I absolutely adore the current one, but let me clarify, the role model here is none other than the legendary Kathy Griffin.

She went on to say, “This is my proposition. In the initial episode, which has the highest number of bachelors and roses, I will have intimate moments with each one, one after another, before making my decision. There are no hidden cameras involved, just a bit of censorship for aesthetic purposes such as cellulite. And that’s it – instant ratings success!

If ABC were to potentially select Griffin as the upcoming Golden Bachelorette, she would face competition from all women of the yet-to-be-produced season two of The Golden Bachelor. To date, no show in the Bachelor universe has featured a celebrity cast, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility for the future. An ABC source hinted to Entertainment Weekly that they might be willing to discuss the role with Griffin.

The inaugural season of “The Golden Bachelorette” concluded with its finale and a live special titled “After the Final Rose,” which took place on November 13. In this episode (caution: spoiler!), Vassos and insurance executive Chock Chapple announced their engagement following the departure of Pascal Ibgui, who had been the main suitor but left because he admitted not being in love.

In another part of the podcast, Griffin touched upon her ongoing disagreement with Andy Cohen when queried about their recent communication. She clarified that he was once her supervisor at Bravo, later terminating her employment, but she cherished working on specials and hosted a talk show on the network for two seasons.

She expressed that he isn’t her type, and it’s painful for her. She didn’t elaborate on whether it was good or bad; instead, she simply admitted that it leaves a hurtful feeling within her.
